Greetings and Welcome to 2024!
Hello members of A&WMA Central Texas! My name is Joe Pere and I am both honored and humbled to have been elected to serve you as Chair for 2024.
The Air & Waste Management Association is a vital resource for environmental professionals to learn, network, and come together as those with much in common. Every day, we all face many of the same challenges as it relates to environmental issues, and having local resources for us to all come together is so very important. We have much to offer for everyone: from Young Professionals to Seasoned Statesmen, and the goal of our Board in 2024 is to bring as many Central Texas environmental professionals together to share what we’ve learned, to ask questions of each other, and to join together socially from time to time to just let our hair down.
I’d like to congratulate my fellow 2024 elected Board Members, Bobby Salehi, Natasha Martin, and Douglas Wolf. These three individuals have a heart for service and are eager to see the Central Texas Chapter be one of the leading chapters in A&WMA. My deepest thanks goes to Douglas Wolf and Natasha Martin, two Board Members who’ve worked hard over the past several years to keep our chapter on the books and moving along after COVID. Their heart and dedication is so commendable, and we might not have a chapter today if it weren’t for them and their efforts.
With said, our Board is meeting this week to discuss our future technical and social gatherings for 2024. We’d love to see membership increase, so please encourage professionals within your circle of influence to become involved in A&WMA Central Texas.
